I am a teacher/writer living in South Sumatra, Indonesia. I am also learning photography on the fly. Virginia Beach is my hometown, and I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where I also taught for two years. My work has appeared in The Master’s Review (https://mastersreview.com/new-voices/someone-to-listen-by-phil-quam/) and some other places you’ve never heard of. (I’m working on that.) You may contact me through this site or by emailing pcquam@gmail.com
Profound, you write from the heart of a tortured soul in the loss of your brother at such a young age. You see life with a different eye because of this loss. Your writing brings me into the story as I’m there feeling the feelings and smelling the smells. Take care and keep writing, miss you. Debi
